 Summary Analysis

2.3 Analysis.htm

·         Offender participation in evidenced based and promising practices programs is on track to meet FY10 program targets.

·         Partners in Parenting (PIP) is behind target based on first quarter participation due to reduced funding and staff.  Two specialists who facilitate PIP classes are planned to be hired in January 2010 which should bring participation up to target by the end of the fiscal year.

·         Programs defined as promising practice currently have limited but emerging research regarding the likelihood to reduce offender re-offense behavior.

Relevance

·         Evidenced based reentry programs address personal deficits that directly relate to reducing the likelihood to reoffend, increasing successful community reentry and improving public safety.

Key Actions

·         Ensure all participation is documented in RPM so program involvement is accurately reported in the future.
