FY11 data shows the number of systems with no significant deficiencies rose slightly. We will continue to study this measure, ask questions and look for ways to continue to improve our results.
There are about 4130 systems that we inspect on a 3-5 year cycle.
Significant deficiencies are indicators for potentially unsafe drinking water. Most water systems with significant deficiencies are small; they typically serve less than 250 people each.
