DEL reports a 4% decrease in the percentage of monitoring visits conducted on-time statewide in the 3rd quarter compared to the 2nd quarter of 2010. There is no specific reason for this decrease, rather a continuation of a downward trend due to a variety of factors (data migration errors and staff performance). Our Q3 result is 31% below our target. While DEL has not met the 85% target previously, the 3rd quarter results are noticeably lower than prior results.
DEL created and began implementing a GMAP action plan in April 2010 to increase performance across the board in the 4th quarter. Full results will be revealed in our 4th quarter GMAP report. Interim progress is outlined below and the extended analysis.
- DEL finalized and implemented a more accurate methodology to report on-time monitoring visits this quarter (outlined below).
- DEL staff prioritized correcting all data errors related to this measure that resulted from the conversion to FamLink.
- There were several center and home licensor vacancies during this quarter. These positions have now been filled.
