 Summary Analysis

  • Early in the third quarter of fiscal year 2009, both Children's Administration and the Department of Early Learning transitioned from the CAMIS system to the FAMLINK system.  Just prior to the transtion, historical data was converted from CAMIS to FAMLINK.
  • DEL believes its licensors have completed their monitoring visits on time at or around the same rate as before the conversion (January 28, 2009). Many cases are appearing to be extensively overdue due monitoring visit dates which did not convert to FAMLINK. This is explored more in depth in the Extended Analysis.
  • With reliable data, the Department of Early Learning (DEL) believes using an “on-time” measurement for monitoring visits is an effective way to identify needed improvement.
